The competition takes place on four majestic golf courses on the glorious Causeway Coast surrounding the World Heritage Site of the Giants Causeway, Northern Ireland.
The courses are Castlerock Golf Club (Mussenden Links), Royal Portrush Golf Club (Valley Links), Ballyliffin Golf Club (Old Course) and Ballycastle Golf Club (The Warren Links).
The tournament runs on the Stableford format and is open to Gentlemen Golfers Only.
Castlerock Golf Club (Mussenden Links)
Par 7, 6687 yards
A round on Castlerock Golf Course will test every department of a proficient golfer’s game. Narrow fairways lined with thick rough make it a difficult round if you can’t keep your drives straight, but the beautiful landscapes are worth the journey alone, as you’re bound to lose yourself in the classic scenery.
Royal Portrush Golf Club (Valley Links)
Par 70, Length: 6,278 yards.
Harry Colt is credited with designing the course which lies between the East Strand and the Dunluce. It has its fair share of humps and hollows and will every bit a test as its big sister
Ballyliffin Golf Club (Old Links)
Par 71, Length: 6,612 yards.
This superb course features beautiful fairways that roll through wild dunes to create an incredibly undulating layout. You’ll rarely find a flat lie, which adds another testing dimension to this fantastic course. Beware the signature 5th hole – the 190 yard par 3 uses an elevated green surrounded by dunes.
Ballycastle Golf Club (The Warren Links)
Par 71, Length: 5,876 yard
Ballycastle Golf Club sits yards from the shoreline on the Causeway Coast and is one of the most scenic courses in Northern Ireland. Contrasting tame parkland holes to wild links offerings it includes flat, with impressive views of the North Antrim Coastline, the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland and the hills of Donegal.
