Benvenuto a GastroGolf Italia . . .

Italy has everything to offer you as a unique golfing destination: history, culture, art, fashion, gastronomy, wine, beautiful scenery, wonderful climate and a nation of people as wonderfully diverse and hospitable as their country.

A Gastro Golf experience in Italy should not be missed. The country boasts more than 400 golfing facilities, with the largest concentration located in the north of the country particularly in the Tuscany and the Lombardy regions, accounting for almost 100 golfing venues.

Italy’s reputation as a European golfing destination, however, has yet to be exploited. Internationally-recognised professionals, such as Costantino Rocca, Francesco and Edoardo Molinari, as well as the young Matteo Manassero, who have enhanced the pedigree of Italian golf and put the country on the map. The European Tour hosted the Italian Open for the last two years at Circolo Golf Torino.

You will find exceptional golf near the centres of Rome, Florence and Sienna, any of these enchanting cities provide a perfect base for exploring the gastronomic, cultural and historical attractions nearby.

In the South of Tuscany lies The Maremma — a striking land that stretches between the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea and Tuscany’s rolling hills. Amongst it’s most exclusive locations is the Silver Coast (Argentario), famous for its crystal-clear waters and wild nature.

Thanks to a mild climate, the Maremma and the Argentario offer a wide choice of activities that can be enjoyed not only during the summer, but throughout the year.

Enjoy the superb hotel, leisure and dining facilities whilst playing golf at the five star Argentariogo resort or head to the glamorous and breathtaking Italian lakes of Garda and Como in the Lombardy region for a golf escape in pure style, where the magnificent hotels exude class. The Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club which opened in 1907 on the hills overlooking the magnificent Lake Como, is the country’s second oldest club. It is a true golfing gem that guards a precious golf library of 1220 original, first-edition books.

On the Adriatic shoreline we also find two contrasting aspects: the wild and silent one of the lagoons and that of the busy beaches marked by the numerous tourist structures along the coast. Sicily offers everything for a great golfing holiday: breathtaking landscape, a snow-topped volcano, beautiful ancient cities and fantastic beaches.
